Kentucky is a great state to hunt the Eastern wild turkey, it's ever growing population offers plenty of opportunities to bag that bird. Kentucky has a spring and a fall shotgun and fall archery sasons. We had a good sping harvest in 2008, up almost 3000 birds from the spring of 2007. Also the fall harvest for 2008 was up about 500 birds from 2007. The spring season for 2009 was another good one, with harvest numbers still gowing up about 2000 birds from spring 2008.
