Kentucky is a great state to hunt the Eastern wild turkey, it's ever growing population offers plenty of opportunities to bag that bird. Kentucky has a spring and a fall shotgun and fall archery sasons. We had a good sping harvest this year (2008) up almost 3000 birds from last spring (2007). In turn, there should also be plenty of birds to go after this fall. The fall is the time to harvest some hens, from the large flocks of them, that we all try to pull those gobblers from in the spring.
